Wendy Drummond is a qathet fibre artist who is inspired by a tactile, warm and nurturing love of fibre. Her statement pieces, clothing, and accessories are made with heart and embedded with stories. Working with natural fibres, embellished with extensive signature hand stitching, each piece is expressive and unique, representative of her commitment to sustainable natural fibres and the promotion and advocacy of the local fibre community and slow cloth/slow fashion movement.
Wendy works out of her Three Stone Soup Fibre Studio in Lund, BC and has been instrumental in the arts and advocacy of the slow fashion/slow clothes movement on the upper Sunshine Coast since 2013. She was one of the organizers and contributing artists to the annual eCouture Fashion Show that ran from 2015 to 2019; was project coordinator of Fibre Space – a community drop-in workspace at Oceanview Education Centre; a founding partner in establishing eunoia fibre studio and gallery at the Townsite Public Market; and a passionate instructor and host of a series of stitching workshops offered throughout the Sunshine Coast and in her studio in Lund, sharing her passion for creating with fibre, heart and story…
Three Stone Soup designs are versatile, sustainable clothing that empower wearers with a sense of timeless magic and effortless comfort. The designs blend simplicity with enchantment, offering pieces that feel like a natural extension of your being—a second skin that moves with you, breathes with you, and invites you to step into the world with quiet confidence. Through thoughtfully crafted garments, Three Stone Soup seeks to evoke a sense of wonder and self-assurance, proving that clothing can be both a grounding presence and a source of everyday magic.
