I believe in the power of art as an agent for personal transformation and enlightenment, capable of touching both the artist and the viewer.

Armed with cameras and accompanied by my alias Aya VeLenz, it’s lovely to explore the ever changing world outdoors, discovering new images to film. My subjects are members of the plant and animal kingdoms that live their lives in the forests, shore regions and wetlands along the sunshine coast trails.

Altered in an electronic “darkroom”, the boldly coloured abstract images are prepared for laser printing onto fine quality giclee canvases.

Additionally, these images are animated and combined with original music scores generating another form of art for presentation on smart TVs, tablets, laptops, and phones – I call it “photomotion”. The images dance magically and hypnotically on film revealing imaginative secrets of life.

I hope that viewers will delightfully view the changing visuals and music as a metaphor for existence, expressing verve for living and a beauty that only nature can provide.
