Corinne has been exhibiting and selling her watercolours and acrylics in USA and Canada since 1990. She is a Signature Member of the North West Watercolour Society in USA.
She left her career in Social Work to get her BFA and BEd so that she could teach High School Art. Corinne was not taught art in elementary or secondary school and didn’t really discover art until she first attended University and took it as an elective. She did not want students to lack the experience of art and wanted them to be able to express themselves with the various media and techniques they learned. She taught Art to grades 7-12 in N. E. Alberta for many years.
Corinne is now retired and living in Powell River. Her art is alive with colour and expression, it transforms her, makes her happy and the large surfaces give her space to be expressive. She is a life long learner and continues to take workshops so the learning can continue. “I never stop asking myself what will happen if?? There is always another discovery to make. Art is like life..it is full of risk taking, which leads to positive changes and growth.”
